Kat Von D Biography

Kat Von D was born in Mexico. Her father Rene Drachenberg and mother Sylvia Galeano, both were born in Argentina. She has one brother maned Michael and one sister named Karoline.


At the age of 4 year she gone to Los Angeles and grew up in Colton in South California. She credits the prominent Latino culture of Los Angeles as being a major influence drawing tattoos in her art and style.

And at the age of 14 she droped her school to become a tattoo artist. When Darren Brass had broken his arm, Kat Von D was asked to work at Miami Ink. she had a falling out with Ami James which led to her leaving Miami Ink.
